"More than 100 years ago, a dressmaker named Lena H. Bryant - and if the name sounds familiar, it should - pretty much invented plus-sized ready-to-wear . . .

. . . Her great-grandsons have gone back into the family business, opening a new store called Fashion To Figure, which features plus-size clothing (sizes 14-26) from a range of designers, from businesswear names like Harve Bernard to flirty casual tops from Hot Kiss.

The first shop is in White Plains, but the second recently opened in the Livingston Mall on Eisenhower Parkway in Livingston. Every detail of the shop is geared toward a plus-size consumer, right down to the dressing rooms (which are a square foot larger than the chain store average). Best of all, the store is not a high-priced emporium: jeans and tops range all range from $20 to $35."
